The University of Western Sydney continues its reputation for research excellence, with UWS receiving funding worth $3.9 million in the latest round of research grants announced by the Australian Research Council (ARC).

Real-world research at UWS awarded $3.9 million in ARC funding


A total of 18 projects received highly sought-after ARC Discovery and Linkage grants to tackle issues that are critical to the prosperity, health and educational future of the nation.

The results represent an overall 28.57 per cent success rate for UWS.

Nationally, this result sees UWS in the ARC funding top 20 - an outstanding achievement ensuring that the University continues to hold its own amongst the Australia's top universities.

The University's grants were awarded across the disciplines of business, urban environment, psychology, nursing and public health, engineering, education, computing and mathematics, and cultural research.
